We spent this past weekend in Jacksonville, Florida at our daughter’s travel team volleyball tournament. It was a whirlwind trip down and back and a pretty long car ride, but let me tell you it was worth it to be in the Florida sunshine! As I have mentioned way too many times, it has pretty much rained here in Greenville for the past month. We only got to spend a short time at the beach, but that’s all we needed to feel recharged.
Today, I have a casual outfit for you and this shirt will have you thinking of sunshine too! Everything I’m showing here is from Old Navy. They are my go to retailer for casual and practical outfits and their spring collections are always so pretty.
This is the Printed Tie-Hem Linen Blend Shirt in Yellow Daisy. This is a button down top that runs true to size.
The Daisy print is small and does not overwhelm the top. The tie-front detail is everywhere this year. I think it is even more popular than last year.
I would not say that this top is cropped, but it does hit right below my waist. When I wear shorter tops, high rise jeans seem to be best. These jeans are the High-Rise 24/7 Sculpt Super Skinny Jeans in the color “Rinse”, which is the darker wash.
According to Old Navy, these jeans are supposed to have smoothing and sculpting magic powers…yes please!! They are made from a knit denim which makes them soft and stretchy, without loosing their shape. I have only worn mine once for any length of time, and so far I really like them. I have been wearing mid-rise jeans for so long that I am still trying to get used to the higher rise. They definitely hold you in, so that’s a win!
The price points on both of these are great. Currently the jeans are on sale for $40 and the top is $32.99. I will provide links below if you would like to shop this look.
As always, thank you for taking time out of your day to visit My Southern Charm Style. I try to feature things that are appropriate and affordable for women over 40 and the challenges that we face as we get a little older. If you are not over 40, you are welcome here too! I think you will find some inspiration as well. Have a blessed day!
